This class includes a mix of meditation, yin, and restorative styles of yoga. Yin yoga gently stretches the deep connective tissues surrounding muscles, organs, and bones, particularly around the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Yin yoga keeps joints strong and lubricated, helping to retain range of motion during aging. Restoritive yoga is an “active relaxation” that strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and stimulating the immune system.
